If there was ever a recent testament for a more nimble next-gen Mustang then this recent video capturing one spiraling out of control on the Nurburgring might be it.

In the 16 second clip posted on YouTube, a Mustang driver can be seen braking into a bend and then losing control of the vehicle on the track in Germany.

Luckily, the Nissan GT-R driver trailing the Mustang reacts quickly or things could have turned out a lot worse.

Of course, it makes you wonder if the Mustang driver should have never been on the track in the first place in what appears to be a race open to the public.  Time and time again, it’s been proven that owning a high-performance car doesn’t necessarily qualify one to take it on the track, especially on a circuit as challenging as the Nurburgring.

Still, the video draws more attention to complaints that to date, the Mustang has been pretty much a one-trick pony when it comes to high-performance, far more at home on straight-aways than cornering. But the clip also builds anticipation for the new model which Ford is pushing to have more capabilities on the track with modifications like a lighter body and independent rear suspension.

Only time will tell how the 2015 Mustang will measure up, but we’ll definitely let you know as soon as we can get our hands on one.
