Procharged GT350R is Insane on Race Gas

By -

With 100 octane gasoline and tons of bravado, this might be the meanest procharged GT350R we’ve ever seen.

The Shelby GT350R is already one of the most potent machines on the street. With the help of forced induction, it’s nearly unstoppable.

In this video by YouTube channel Mustang Lifestyle, we get to see (and most importantly, hear) several pulls from such a beast. In the case of this machine, it’s equipped with a procharger and running 110-octane race gas to the tune of over 750 rear wheel horsepower.

Unfortunately, the fun stops early, since a lightning storm apparently fried the dyno before the crew could get any pulls. We’d like to think that the potent procharged GT350R scared it into shutdown mode.

In lieu of monster dyno runs, we’re treated to a ride-along with host Louis and Sam from the dyno shop. We love the sound of the Voodoo V8 with its flat-plane crankshaft. Paired with the whine of a supercharger, it sounds simply evil.

With the aggressive tires on the procharged GT350R, it hooks up like Velcro. We’re treated to several impressive passes up and down the road with nearly no loss of traction.

Despite the lack of dyno time, the car seems to be running great. After the boys have their fun, they load the car back onto a trailer and head to another dyno. We’re looking forward to seeing the exact numbers this monster puts down to the pavement.

Louis isn’t happy just owning one fast Mustang. He’s also got a Redfire Terminator Cobra in the garage, a long-term project that’s nearing completion. We’d say we’re equal parts jealous and impressed.

Between these two machines, we’d have to say that Louis has earned the title of King of the Streets. If you happen to be out cruising around in his stomping grounds of Tampa, Florida, watch yourself. You’re on his turf.
