How NOT to Load Your S197 Mustang GT Into a Trailer

S197 Mustang GT

How many mistakes can you spot in this clip of a man trying to load his S197 Mustang GT into a trailer?

Well, this is embarrassing. We all love the S197 Mustang. We reckon the owner in this clip loves his as well. He loves it so much that he loads his pride and joy S197 Mustang GT into a trailer rather than driving it to whatever is the new destination. It is his special car, and it deserves special treatment. The problem is the owner does not seem to have a clue about how to properly load a car into a trailer. The result is a cringe worthy moment.

Luckily for us Reddit is full of cringe worthy moments and this one was captured by Redditor trillionmarketcap and posted for us to all enjoy. The clip is only 14 seconds long but there is a lot to unpack in that short period of time. And we are sure that the driver of the Mustang will deal with the consequences of this for far longer than 14 seconds.

Don’t Try This at Home

It all starts innocently enough. A nice looking S197 Mustang GT is being driven up some ramps into an enclosed trailer. What could go wrong? The risk of damage is far less inside a trailer than driving it on the street, right? Well, not always.

Once the car is halfway in the trailer the driver decides for some reason to be a little overzealous with the throttle. It then becomes painfully obvious that the ramps were never secured. So, the 300 horsepower V8 is plenty to kickout the aluminum ramps. And this causes the car to land hard on the trailer. The car is now half in and half out with the drive wheels spinning helplessly in the air.

We are sure at the moment the driver felt a knot in the pit of his stomach. And you know what probably didn’t help him? Hearing a little kid say “I got it all on video.” And as if the trailer load fail was not entertaining enough there is a little side show of the kid watching the car being loaded totally wiping out on his hoverboard the moment the ramps let go.

Thankfully, no one appeared to be at all injured here, so we don’t feel bad about laughing. However, we do however feel a little bad for the Mustang GT. It was the innocent bystander here. Hopefully the owner has learned a thing or two from this little experience.
