GME’s Hot New Mustang Packs 705-Horsepower
GME’s blacked-out GT is much more than your typical, run-of-the-mill mod.
One of the biggest appeals of the Mustang has always been its customization capabilities. And yet, we’re still always amazed at how people manage to find a way to put a fresh spin on the Ford pony car.
Take, for example, this blacked-out, 2017 Mustang GT that’s been modified by the team at GME Performance. Initially, it’s features like those flared side sills and rear spoiler — all decked out in that sinister black finish with red accent — that draw you in. But it’s actually what’s under the hood that sells you on the idea that this is far from the typical Mustang mod.
For starters, GME has upgraded the Mustang’s naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with an Edelbrock supercharger that puts out 705-horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. That’s a boost of nearly 300 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque over the standard V8, as detailed in a report by Automobile magazine.

The Euro-spec GME Mustang also features a floating brake system that’s focused on improving the air flow to keep things cool. That’s handy when it comes to stopping all of that power packed into this beast. Other special performance features include a height-adjustable suspension system, and 21-inch, 3-piece, FS-Line alloy wheels that provide better traction than stock wheels.
And then there’s those hot design elements added to the car, which give it a far more sinister look. Even better, they’re also aimed at enhancing the performance capabilities of the GME Mustang, and not strictly for show.
The payoff? Well, according to GME, a 0 – 62 mph time of 3.9 seconds with an electronically governed top speed of 174 mph.
Impressive, right?
