anyone have their windows tinted last year that live in michigan? how did it hold up over the winter? if it held up well, where did you get it done?

 

I had mine done by Notorious Tintz in Livonia. Best tint job I've had done on a car yet. Prices were very good too. They're located close to Rehagen, FYI.

 

I had my second car done at Sun Shade Window Tinting in Troy, MI. Never had a problem with the 2005 GT or so far with my 2011 which I had done in July, 2010. Price was $235.00, 20% carbon based tint, which supposedly does not interfere with the synch system, etc.

 

ditto had my previous Trailblazer done there, great work.

 

I've had several cars done by them and will be taking my 2012 GT to them soon. Very satisfied.

How long did it take to this? I will be in Troy end of June but only for a day or two. I wonder if I could get them to do it for me while I wait.

 

Normally 2-3 hours.

 

I walked in at about 2:15 and was on the road before 3:30 today; the timing just happened to work out perfect. I'd recommend making an appointment, but I was able to slip right in as they were finishing another car, and they've done 3 or 4 cars/trucks for me now.
