Yeah that's true Rpinalli, the resonator does weigh in some what so a good saving of about 15 to 20lbs. I bet yours sounds awesome with the H-pipe on the 2018 exhaust.

^^ As far as performance gains between the H and X pipe is really not a major or very significant difference. H Pipe gives a little more power on low end and X Pipe in high end. The main reason I installed was to get a better sound in the exhaust. With either one, the sound will increase in tone and loudness because the resonator gets deleted. That resonator quiets the exhaust system, plus it is heavier than an H or X Pipe. So taking out the resonator and installing the pipe only, adds to sound. The H Pipe is more muscle car old school sound, while the X Pipe is more raspy. This is my first H pipe resonator delete, so granted I am not an expert on the subject matter lol

I recently purchased a 2018 gt with the active exhaust - coming from a 2013 GT that I modified (went with the boss 302 H pipe and GT500 AB's) - I'm finding the sound to be different, more throaty on the 18, I do run it in track exhaust mode, and it is louder than my boss pipe with 3/4" restrictors (couldn't run it wide open, too loud) - I doubt I'll do anything to the exhaust, they finally got the right sound and volume with the active exhaust. I do not miss the smell from the old mustang, but I do miss the lopey idle from the tune...
meh - the 2018 is better in all aspects, very happy with the purchase!

Yeah sounds good. Videos never do sound justice. I bet it's sounds killer live! Especially track mode. I got the heartthrob h pipe from American muscle. But I bet you get a less expensive different brand you might have same results..not sure so don't bet on it..

The H pipe looks like a decent weight savings over the chamber thing you removed. Speaking of the chamber....is it just an open chamber or does if have some baffling or something inside?

Motoring is cheaper state side by a long way. You'd be looking at nearly £83 to brim the Mustang with premium fuel so that would be roughly $105 dollars to fill. Taxing and fuelling the Mustang in the UK eats into modification money. In fact the UK is a rip off, everything is expensive.
My Mustang is a second car and working from home it means it's ok to run the Mustang a few times a week. A 5.0 daily driver would be very expensive.

Its the resonator. I'll look inside and see if I notice anything, I am not sure what is inside of it. It quiets the exhaust some, but not like a muffler. I know the exhaust is louder without the resonator. I looked up online and the resonator supposedly cancels sound frequencies or something like that ...
