Yeah I have a massive amount of stuff on order from CJ Pony Parts for my 2019 GT and I don't even have the car yet.

I keep coming back to this thread and checking out the AM Vid as well as doing some research...

We have a custom exhaust shop here and I gave them a call - they can do the bolt on h pipe res delete - but he recommends doing a custom job that is welded in as bolt ons can leak and move... has anybody done this? He can do it in either an H or X config - I'd do the H config, he's quoting $275 total for the job... probably the same price as buying the bolt on and having them do the install.... SERIOUSLY considering this option....

I like the idea of a custom, welded-in job done locally.

You can have them weld it on. A lot of people do that. Just remember that it is welded-in so if you don't like the sound (which I highly think you will) it has to be taken back to the shop or cut out to change it. If you bolt on, you can always change it out to an x-pipe later down the road. I think the weld is the best option. $275 I think is a fair price. If you do it yourself, the cost is only the price of the H-pipe, between $100 to $175 or so. But then you have to spend time doing all the work.

Does the stock active exhaust have any popping on deceleration? Does the res delete H pipe have more?

I don't know about the stock active exhaust. But I will say, with my non active stock exhaust there is more popping with the res delete h pipe than before. I didn't hearr any popping before.

I have some decal burble and popping on my ‘14 GT with GT500 ABs and I’ve heard that deleting the resonator will increase that which I really like. I’m seriously considering a ‘19 now though so I’m not gonna mod the ‘14. I might have to go test drive a ‘19 with active exhaust though.

yeah. That's something I regret. I should have checked out the active exhaust. I bought base GT but didn't think about checking out the active exhaust. But i didn't want to pay more money. If the active exhaust is one thing you can add without all the other stuff, I would do it. But, the H pipe res delete on my base 18, is good enough for me. Sounds great! One plus after h pipe installation, it pushed my quadtips further back, they stick out a little more by like 1 to 1.5 inches. By accident because of installation, still secure by hangers though.

Yes - there is a small amount of snap/crackle/pop - but very very small... my 13 had the boss quad exhaust with gt500 ab's - depending how how I layered the clutch, I could pop pop pop all the way on decel... I just assumed the 10R80 won't pop as much because, it's an auto... *shrug* - once I get the H pipe installed I'm curious how much more pop I will get - I only run exhaust in TRACK mode...

Today I Installed the MRT H-pipe resonator delete on my 2018 GT with the 10R80 auto trans. The resonator weighs 17 pounds and the pipe weighed in at 10.5 pounds. Not much of a weight savings but that is not the point of a h pipe or x pipe. Did the install by myself. Not terribly difficult just cumbersome. A much louder and slightly deeper tone to the exhaust now. I am very pleased with this rather simple modification.

Hi guys I'm new on this site, not new to fiddling with my cars.
I approached an exhaust company to do the H pipe and they want to leave the resonater box and replace the rear end boxes?
i like the idea of just removing the resonater and running two pipes back down to the end boxes and fitting a H pipe? Two questions will it be stupid loud? And do I need to make all the fancy bends in it?

My car car is a 2017 GT 50

On my 2018 GT I replaced just the resonator with a MRT stainless H pipe. I did this myself and the pipe was about $179.00. The MRT H pipe will fit 2015 to 2019 Mustang GT. I would not remove the stock mufflers. Your choice of course.

ok so I don't live in the land of milk& honey, I want to make this set up myself and was hoping to speed up the issue I would not have to import a pipe set up.
cant I make it using stainless pipe same OD and just run them straight without the fancy bends? I will put the H connection in?
or do you guys say I must purchase an after market H pipe ?

This is all you need to replace the stock factory resonator. Pictured is the MRT stainless H pipe.

The 15-17 mufflers are very different from the 2018+. I'd still do an axleback kit. The stock mufflers are way too quiet. If you don't want it too loud you could do the Borla Touring or for a little louder go with the Corsa Sports.
