Chief Designer of the 2005 Mustang Leaves Ford

You know every time I think about getting a 67' and not keeping my 06 GT, I remember all the wrenching I did on my 67' and how the brakes worked and how the engines power is compared to today and I say this S-197 is the best ever made to date and the styling will live on long after me. Thanks Larry, people don't yet realize what a classic and sought after car this is going to be in the future.

Larry, thank you for a timeless and beautiful rendition of the Mustang. My kids (8 and 5 now) still love it as much as the day they first saw it and are constantly pointing out other Mustangs on the road. You've helped start a new generation of Mustang lovers!

THE RED FLASH ------ Master-Moderator
Hey Larry, just wanted to say thanks for bringing the Mustang back to it's original roots. For the S-197, was the Mustang in which I had been waiting for, for over 40 years.
Even though I've owned 3 fox bodied Mustangs, and a 78 Mustang II, King Cobra. My favorite Mustangs of all time were the 1st generation 65-68 fastbacks, which I both admired, and fantasized about owning since childhood during the mid sixties.
In the meantime, even though I truly enjoyed my last fox Mustang, which was a black 93 S.V.T Cobra. The moment I laid my eyes upon those very first commercials, revealing the S-197 being driven by Steve McQueen in the cornfield of dreams. I was instantly taken back to my early childhood memories of the those 1st generation Mustangs, in which I had always dreamed about owning someday.
Needless to say, I was instantly hooked, and would do whatever it took in order to purchase one. However being that I only have a one car garage, there was no possible way that I could keep both my Cobra, and 2005 GT. So I had no other option, but to trade in my S.V.T Cobra. Otherwise it wouldn't had been possible to purchase the Mustang in which I had been waiting, for nearly 40+ years.
Although trading in my 93 Cobra was something that I really didn't want to do, however I also realized that it was a sacrifice that had to be made, in order to purchase the Mustang of my dreams.
That being said, every time I step into the cabin on my 05 GT. It's like stepping into a time capsule, taking me back to 1967 all over again. Which is more than enough to re-assure me, that I made the right decision in trading in my 93 S.V.T Cobra.
At any rate: Just want to say once again, thanks for designing such a great modern interpretation of an American classic, in which I'll be enjoying for many years to come. And also wish you nothing but the very best in your new career, as I'm absolutely certain. Your design students will be so inspired, and influenced by both your expertise and sole presence.
Thanks again Larry,
Rocky
