This looks really sharp! I'm not a fan of black wheels, but I like this look on yours. This is making me want to go with the black Mustang now vs. the Ruby Red. LOL

So how are you guys liking your black stangs? After the issues with my last (and only) black car, I swore I would never get another one. But something keeps telling me to give it another shot as the new mustang looks awesome in this color. Just don't want it to be like a part-time job to keep looking clean.

I love my '14 rag top. It's classy looking, it gets tons of ooh's and ahh's, turns heads on the street, and reflects like a mirror.

That said, I'll never do black again. I'm retired and I have plenty of time to maintain it, but I attend numerous shows and cruise nights and need to plan my time accordingly so that I can detail it prior to going out. Black is the best finish when it's perfect, and the worst when it's not.

I do a paint correction twice a season with a DA buffer and recently I switched to a rinseless wash and detail system so that saves a whole lot of time. It's not unusual to do that two or three times a week sometimes when the pollen is especially bad....and mine is garaged. Still, I won't give it up but if the time ever comes to replace it, I'm looking elsewhere on the color chart. In the meantime, I just consider it to be the price of admission.

This is the end product of a 3 hour pollen removal session yesterday from a show a few days ago. Every nook and cranny was cleaned including the interior, engine bay, and wheels.

I waffled back and forth on which color to get; ruby red or black. The dealer had ordered one in black and put my name on it. A few weeks later, I changed my mind, and asked the dealer to order mine in ruby red. Ultimately, I went with the BLACK. No offense to others who got their mustang in any other color, but to me black looks amazing!! I parked next to a silver one yesterday, and it just didn't wow me. However, I own a silver '09 GT and love it in that color :-) Back to your question... I don't find keeping my black one that much harder than keeping my silver one clean. Yes, every little fingerprint shows on the black, and it drives me a "little" crazy. But, I just love this car in black!

Thanks for the replies. I don't know if it was just the paint on that car, but when I had my black 2013 genesis coupe, I had to try 3 different products to get out surface scratches, bird poop stains and even bugs on the front. I noticed if you didn't get bird droppings off immediately it would stain. I don't have that problem with my gray and didn't have it with my silver cars either. If I decide to go with black or ruby red I may have to get a carport, although the birds don't seem to be as numerous since we cut one of the trees by my driveway down.

I have more seat time in the 11, which has a Barton shifter & Spec SS trim clutch in it. Every time I drive it, it reminds me how much I hate the clutch in the 14.
The 14 is the color I wanted when I bought the 11, but was too cheap to order the SVTPP package to get it.
I would consider selling the 11, the 14 isn't going anywhere, so I guess the 14 gets the nod.
