Pat , I forgot to mention that mine did that too. It's a speed warning that some places in Europe require and when they transferred my cluster module configuration from the old to the new cluster it went away. I googled it when I heard it the first time and some clusters have it set and some don't. I guess you got one like I did that had it set ...

Hey Paul we need rehab. The cluster is great but the 2010 GT 500 stering wheel is a must.

Here in Phoenix you can find yourself doing 75+ frequently, so I just turn up the music. I can live with the extra hassles now that I have oil pressure, temp gauge and a cool looking cluster. Thanks for all of the help! I had my girlfriend take a bunch of pics from the install, anyone think I should do a tutorial on the cluster swap? Its easy as hell, but I haven't seen one yet.

If you have the harness for the message center buttons it will be connected to the back of the fake face plate where the switch will go on the left hand side of the console. It sounds like you do , if so you just need to order the switch also ...

Ok...I do have the wiring. So now to the next issue. Is the trip to the dealer a must since I have a 08? How do they transfer the "as built" data into the new cluster? Via the obII port or directly to the back of the cluster? I really don't want to take the car to the dealer in fear of when they reflash my car it will screw up my tunes and worst case they test drive the car and blow it up due to my edelbrock e-force.

If you don't get a cluster with the speed warning enabled , some do and some don't , you shouldn't need to go to the dealer at all since I assume you should have the TPMS. But if you do need the cluster module configuration transferred from the old cluster to the new one they do it with a scan tool via the obII port. They extract it from the old cluster while it's attached into a scan tool and then put the new one in and transfer the data into it from the scan tool. In my case I didn't have the TPMS so I got the warning and my cluster had the speed warning enabled and both were eliminated when my configuration was transferred. So like I said if you don't get one with the speed warning enabled your configuration should be the same and you should get any warnings ...

I sure hope so. It would be really nice to plug and play and have the message center and shift light working. It is my understanding that you can go into the message center menu and adjust your shift light rpm right?

Yes the shift light works , in the setup menu you can set the rpm and whether or not you want the chime to sound. If you turn the shift light off , the SVT symbol is on all the time and looks pretty cool ...

Easy upgrade

Before I got my Gt500, I upgraded the gauges and message center buttons with a breeze.
Any mustang cluster will work on any mustang (excluding the boost) no matter if it's auto or
manual and ALL Mustangs have the MSG cntr harness for the buttons. And you can swap back
and forth if u wanted to save mileage bc they keep thier mileage  but that would be wrong .
I plan on ordering the 2010 gt500 cluster to upgrade my 08 gt500 cluster.

Hey bud, I can tell you, it won't fit! The gauges are full circles where on the 2005-2009 they are 260 degree semi-circles. They won't fit for our cars.

I was about to order the 2010 cluster for my 08. I went to the dealer and the 2010 is shallower, not what I wanted to find. Maybe if I find a pic of one taken out I can figure something out.

There's posts on here by KC , he's a ford parts manager and he says there's no way to make them work. Do a search there's a lot of discussion on this ...
