She is a Mini Golden Doodle. Now that the weather is a bit warmer her hair is curling more like a poodle. She's has tons of energy and is mischief too! 8 months old. Too smart for her own good, she's always getting into things. Tonight we are playing Frisbee her favorite thing, it releases all of her pent up energy. After running around time for a little break.

Did you buy her from a breeder? Poodles are in the top 3 of the smartest dogs. Number 2 out of 3, I believe.

There are Golden doodles, Labradoodles, snicker doodles - oh wait that is my faorite cookie . They go for a Teddy bear look. They are very lovable, like many dogs, and very curious.
I found out about them from a buddy at work. His brother has 2 full sized ones, and his Mom has one. We had been looking at Goldens and Labs, those are some large dogs!
We were wanting a medium sized dog. They seem to be hypo allergenic which is a plus for me, and they are very low to no shedding. Another reason we didnt go Lab or Golden, we heard they shed a lot.
Animal planet video on Golden Doodles. Google images of their look.
I'm going to look at setting up some agility for her in the back yard. She definitely needs to be challenged.
If anyone has some tips on agility, I could use them!

Yes, Miniature Poodle Male, Std sized Golden Retriever Female. We bought her from a breeder. He was a Golden breeder for years, and is now breeding the Mini's. They are a "designer" breed, and not recognized by the AKC.

I knew they were a designer dog, just wasn't sure on the breeds. I like the fact that they do not shed too. Very awesome. Thanks for the info!
Enjoy the pooch. She's a cutie.

I'm sorry Don't be surprised when he tears the other ACL. It's common after the first one. I think my dog went 1 1/2 years before the second one tore and she needed another ACL surgery

You might think about that surgery unless the CCL is completely torn. Our Cocker Spaniel tore her left rear CCL and had surgery. Then a couple of years later she tore the other rear leg CCL and we did not have surgery. Both took months to recover with activity restriction. But the difference is that the second time she did not have to go through the trauma of the surgery and that recovery on top of the leg healing. This is especially true for smaller dogs like my Cocker. I'm not trying to advise you one way or the other, but here is a link to a website that may help you decide what is best for your dog. Do yourself a favor and at least read the pertinent information before you decide what to do.....and our little Cocker is not limping at all anymore....took about six months to completely heal naturally.

Thanks guys. He's my little sister's dog and she feels really bad. Not sure when they plan on doing surgery. Probably in a few weeks.
