I know it's not a cat but my daughter just rescued this little bugger. Say hello to Bandit.

The 8'x13' catio I just built for them.
I still need to build fun things inside and a bunch of steps/shelves, places for them to sit on and enjoy the day, but it's done.
The plan is to install a screen pet door in the window screen, so they can go in and out through that basement window.
I built a little platform on the other side for them to get up to the window and get down, since it's about a 5 foot drop from that window to the basement floor

The catio almost finished. I added more shelves and more seating areas in there for them ... yeah, they love it

This was earlier today. The first time we saw them sleeping together like this since Guzzi was re-homed to us about 2 months ago

Well, it's certainly been a while since I posted on here last
Sadly, we lost Jack about a month ago. Our loving little lap buddy started getting huge amounts of fluid buildup in his chest and after one procedure, 2-3 weeks later happening again we decided it's not fair to make him suffer through it again and just took his sad look as a sign that it was time. He's now back with his sister who we lost in June '20. We miss them both so much ...
Guzzi was alone for about a week, before we went out and adopted a 4.5-yr old female, Colbie. Her story is a little sad, as she had recently lost her owner and the family gave her up for adoption. She's also quite overweight at almost 18 lbs (down to 17.2 lbs since she came to us). We're trying to get her down to about 12-13 lbs.
She's slowly starting to get accepted by Guzzi, they eat together, they sometimes run after each other, but they haven't snuggled up together yet.
