Thanks bro!

it is the cf hood, but color matched now. The vents are unpainted though. The raw CF didn't look as good as i'd hoped after clear coat so i had them paint it DIB. I am glad i did.

So I rented a 2013 Corvette convertible from Hertz last weekend. Made me want to trade in my Bullitt and get a new(er) GT convertible. Too bad I can't afford a newer Mustang. I had never driven a convertible for an extended period of time. It was so much fun, especially here in San Diego where I could use it all year round.

Why'd a corvette make you want a newer stang?
Or is it because it was a convertible and you fell in love with a vert now?

I hear ya! I'd be scared to do that too. I'm heading out to the car now actually, to install my GT500 steering wheel finally!

What are the differences/advantages of the Shelby steering wheel vs stock?

i quick search of pics it looks the same as a GT except for the emblem of course and a sort of suede cover for better grip and feel maybe?
p.s. it looks like it has a couple of humps for better grip as well. Hmmm… not a bad upgrade Patrick

You got it Darren. The 10/2 grips are actually larger, but it's the suede that attracted me. I'm also doing the GT500 shift and e-brake boots soon, to tie it all in, topped off with a black Boss 302 ****.

I was lucky, I scored my wheel off a member here who had sold his car and never installed it - got it for $150! I couldn't pass that up. It's been waiting for my car a week after I ordered the car lmao!

If it makes you feel any better, those panels are pretty cheap to replace... When I sold my '06, I bought replacement panels (cause I uninstalled the light bar before selling) and when I got my '13, I reinstalled the same bar and was even able to reuse the panels that I had already cut for the '06!

Just because it was a convertible. I did enjoy the Corvette a lot, but they're insanely overpriced compared to a Mustang. Yeah it handles better and it looks more exotic/European, but it didn't sound very good and the build quality was awful inside. More plastic than the '05-09 Mustangs that cost 1/4 of the price. I was also surprised that it didn't feel that much faster than my Bullitt.
