Just got back from vacation in Las Vegas. Had a great time. Friends from Houston invited me out to stay with them at the Grandview. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

They are indeed. That shot was taken while hiking a 6-mile stretch of the Switchgrass Trail at Wilson State Park earlier this month. Here's a view from the opposite side from the week before:
Maybe not the best as far as seeing the posts, but hey. It's alls I gots.

That one was taken with a shutter speed of 1 second (shutter priority mode) an aperture setting of f/18 and a focal length of 18mm. Polarizer helped as well. And if you stick your nose into the full-size original, you can see that it's a little bit soft due to diffraction at that aperture.
And that's Glacier Creek in Rocky Mountain National Park, just a few steps off one of the many pull-offs along Bear Lake road, for those of you familiar with the area.

- this slow moving train has put a damper on the Bates City Missouri Police in their efforts to enforce the local speed limit, for which they are notorious for, of 30 mph. In the background is the Bates City BBQ for which they are notoriously famous !
