The only reason I know is back in 2002 a swarm landed on one of my crepe myrtles outside on a very windy day. I called a buddy who's a beekeeper and he told me that.
He told me if they were there the next day he'd come get them. But that night when the wind died they left.
It's probably a good way for a beekeeper to pick up some free bees lol

Spotted this spectacular specimen on the tram at the indy race yesterday..."she" was there with her husband/boyfriend and their child....the 5 o'clock shadow was pretty stubly for 9am!!
