We need more owls up around these parts. Possums run rampant around here all over the place, seeing an owl that maintains the pecking order is an awesome sight to behold. Thanks for sharing sir.

we used to have a huge owl that hung around the house. I caught glimpse of him nail a rabbit that was at the bottom of my property. He like hit him in full speed of flight, rolled once and was back airborn with the rabbit in his talons, i mean literally in two seconds flat total. Was awesome to see.

Because my grandma took me to see one at the zoo when I was little and there was a great big horned owl that turned its head all the way around to look at me. Wouldn't even go to the bathroom by myself I was so traumatized lol

 

I could see where that'd be a bit frightening as a child, at least it didnt do that and start puking green stuff out at you

EPM (Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis) in opossum crap in hay spreads a protazoa that causes seizures, paralysis and death in horses in a short period of time. It was horrible. Tried to save her all night and had to put her down in the am when she could no longer get up. I remember coming back outside and her whinnying for me. I held her head in my lap while she drank some water out of a pan. When the vet arrived he said there was nothing to do. I had to face down the enemy and pull the trigger. Winter of '97. Goddam opossums! Kill em all!
