Yes it is. Gonna try and check them out Sunday. There's an airshow earlier and we will try and tour a few ships after. Battle of 1812 commemoration.

 

Very cool. Got to see some cool ships come into Pearl Harbor.

 

Too bad he's getting off the tug tomorrow. He could get some more pics that most can't.

The Arizona Memorial is really cool, but sad too. Crazy because there are a lot of Japanese tourists there too.

What a difference a year makes! Two of those guys have moved since then. At least I didn't spend my birthday alone this year.

It is very cool and sad at the same time. And you are right, there are a lot of Japanese there. I loved that there were survivors there doing a signing during my visit. I was in awe of them!

 

The Arizone Memorial is only about 30 minutes drive from home for me(:
Sadly im in texas at about 9 hours and 30 minutes its just a lil far to do frequent visits /:
I will say thoigh that the atmosphere and vibe is one of solemn respect, especially when you see the wall with the bames of those who lost their lives on that dreadful day

 

There were survivors out there a couple of times when I went. Very strange feeling being out there and thinking of all those lives lost that day. Makes me even more proud to serve my country.
