Reminds me of my granny. When we go somewhere, she always tries to pay and I plan on paying. She will get pissed off and insist on paying and I have to "go to the bathroom" and catch the waitress and pay without her knowing it. Then she gets pissed off and tries to give me money, lol. Yeah, right. Like I'm going to take that.
Not sure if this is/was mentioned on the home page or not? Autoblog is reporting that Ford might be combining their performance divisions into a new umbrella division called '999'.

Can any of you military guys identify these vehicles I've see today? Sorry about the crappy pics, they were spur of the moment and hard to catch some of them.

LOL.
I remember a few years ago we were down here and we were at the pool. A pair of FA-18's (I think) came down the coast and they were low and hauling *** over the water, just off the beach, came by so fast that they were almost silent, then that crackling, thundering roar behind them came and just shattered the silence and shook everything.
My little guy didn't see them when they came by, but when the sound came he ran over all excited and confused and said "What's that sound daddy?!?!?!"
I said, "that's the sound of freedom son".
And to this day, every time we're down here and he sees them or hears them in the area he says "here comes freedom".

But there are a lot of bases on the Gulf, I do know that. Either way I know that those young guys are taking care of us, and I appreciate the hell out of it. The fact that young boys like them are putting their lives on the line to make sure we are secure means a lot to me.

The little guy got to take a tour in Pensacola a couple years ago and meet and hang out with some of the Blue Angel pilots. I was in awe, every word out of my mouth was "yes sir, no sir, excuse me sir" etc. and these were young kids half my age, yet I couldn't help but to call them sir.
Impressive group of young men. Hell, all of our troops are impressive young men. Young guys that are willing to put their lives on the line and die for us so we can do the things I'm doing right now needs to be respected and honored.
That's one of the reasons I run outside to take pics of whatever I hear coming by. I'm not afraid to admit it, but when they come by I get choked up and feel a sense of pride and respect. Hell, I've been down on the pool deck when some of them come over in years past and people have actually cheered and clapped, made me tear up a little and feel an overwhelming sense of pride.
Saw another one come over today and wasn't sure what it was and didn't get to take pic. Whatever it was shook the whole place and it had a fin hanging down underneath it on the bottom side between the engines on the wings instead of sticking up on top. Any idea what that was?
