How big are those things that you can shoot them?

poor kid, he doesn't even know what he's going have in store for the next 13 years of his life.

My kids have been finding them lately on the ground. We used to call them locusts too. They are really called cicadas. Cool if you can find one with wings before they die. They make the craziest loud noises. I found two in my freezer the other day. Not sure why the kids decided to freeze them. Lol

 

Its amazing how much noise they can make. When a bunch of them all start going at the same time its hard to talk over them. Cat had one the other day playing with it and it was raising hell and finally got away from him. He was pissed.

 

Yep about my thumb size and it helps my eye hand coordination for hunting season. I use open sights and shoot up at the top of my trees about 20-30 foot shots. :-)
Our cats love to eat them if they're still alive after I shoot them!

 

Maybe the kids should have wrapped them in aluminum foil to see if they morphed into $100,000 cash in the freezer. Oh wait, that was US Representative William Jefferson

 

Glad I don't see those yet.

 

They are cool to see when they have wings. Before they get wings they have that creepy alien body and you can see them moving inside their old shell. Just a freaky creature.

Get used to that "after" feeling little dude. Rest of your life, you'll be feeling that, especially after you start liking girls. Heheh
