I only got to do dual throat Webbers (4) on the 907, but fine tuning 8 would be nutty & awesome!

EDIT: OOps! I forgot Dennis might like this too - didn't know he was part of the Lotus Clan.

Really? I never had a mechanic. lol
After mixing and matching and placing all the 'dimes' on the valve stems, and re-torquing the cam towers, the Uni-Syn was my most fun fine tuning chore.

I've got to dig up my old 35 photo's one day and scan them in.

The first time I did it - after being very precise with my micrometer & feeler gauge - all the clearances were about .002 too high. I called Dave Bean Engineering (Santa Barbara at the time) and asked ??

Nobody had mentioned - or the Lotus manual - that I have to add .002 for the Permatex (cam towers to head) to the calc.

Why I oughta!!

But now I know a secret about Colin Chapman's Lotus DOHC that many don't.

Heck the whole car was. It was in an aero fox hatchback.
Then you must not have seen one of the Kasse Boss 9 variants that he makes. They're down here in Ga. not too far from me, those Boss 9 based engines they turn out are true works of art. That Sistine chapel and **** they've got in Europe ain't nothing compared to what these hillbillies in Ga. sculpt.

Click through their website links. Probably the most beautiful Ford engines I've ever laid eyes on.

He's actually right down the street (well he used to be) from the acquaintances of mine that I hooked Gary up with at MPS for his wheels and other parts he needed.
