What is this......
These are just a few of the sites where tens of thousands of brand new, unsold cars go to sit and rot until they are scrapped. You see, manufacturers set production targets and when sales fail to meet those targets it's often cheaper for the manufacturer to simply scrap the excess than to fight the unions and governments and all of the red tape it takes to scale back production.
This is the result. Tens of thousands of brand new cars. There's nothing wrong with them, they are perfectly good cars, but they will be left to rot until someone gets around to scrapping them and recycling what they can.
Sort of makes you mad knowing that you paid such a high price for your car when they had thousands just sitting in a field rotting away, doesn't it?
