Mustang 2015 hood corrosion, paint bubbling
Hi, I have white 2015 ecoboost and I just notice that I have a problem on the leading edge of the hood, paint star bubbling.
I know that previous models has this same problem, did any of you heard about it on 2015-2020 models?

Maybe took a bit longer than usual, but yeppers. That's a known thing about aluminum and paint. Not a Mustang thing. Not a Ford thing. A completely aluminum thing.
And yes, some have reported this with their S550s as well.
But the one I especially like is this one:

That whole thread is about bubbling hoods, one of the many that show up in these here forums. But this one I put the Hoovie Garage video in, and at the 3:00 mark? Yep. *Even a McLaren MP-12C* has this issue! The one panel on the car, the hood, that's aluminum, and it's 'rusting' at the lip. And while he's got the big warranty? Nosir, that's not covered!
Just for your info on it. Your '15 is out of warranty. You can get it repainted, but it's a tedious process if done right, and more expensive. If you get it done cheap, it *will* bubble again. This is why I bought a Cervini Cobra R for Awesome when her hood got dinged in a small fender bender. I won't be having a paint issue again with that hood, and yes, the old aluminum one was seriously bubbled up and flaking.
I hope that helps, even though it's not the greatest news.
And welcome to the forums!
