The One Great Thread For all of you plasti-dip fans
I had a car that I drove for a while that was just black primer, but it wasn't by choice, hated to look at it when I went to get in it.
If used correctly, it looks great! I am not a fan of most of the chrome bits, so I (like a few others) dipped the outer chrome ring on the fake gas cap (I did mine with grey instead of black) and the chrome rings on the door speakers... It's not for everyone, but I like how they turned out...

Problem with plastidipping an entire car like that GT500 is that even though it peels off, you will NEVER get it out of everywhere. It will be stuck in-between every body panel, etc.
Also flat black paint jobs = yuck. Looks like an unfinished, primered beater.

Actually if done right each section will come off in one piece. Actually i see what you mean like in between the panels and stuff like that, but i think you could spray a good amount of the dip rewetter or even dip thinner and pressure wash it right out. Im sure theres a method
Some of the choices that people make for their cars might not be my cup of tea but that's the awesome thing about owning a car. If you choose you can make it your own. I know people that think you should always keep a car stock in terms of looks and then there are people who think purple cars are coo
Agree and like I said im old so who cares what I think. Its not my car.
There are lots of things these days that I dont get...like those giant holes in your ear you can put a Pepsi can in. That is the stupidist thing. Those Vape things people hang around their neck looking like an idiot etc.
Rock on with your Rainbow My little pony GT if that's what you like.

Nothing unique about it at all. https://www.google.com/search?q=mystichrome+paint&safe=active&client=fire fox-a&hs=lZj&rls=org.mozilla:en-US

Unique- being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else. I'm not bashing your opinion, because I know there will be people who don't like it, and that's fine. But to say that a chameleon plasti dip on a car isn't unique is quite ridiculous. This is the first time many people have even seen that or the purple, making it unique to most other mustangs.
Like I said its not my car so paint it how you want. Or spray it with liquid rubber.. do your thing enjoy life.
Chameleon paint was actually a factory color on Mustang Cobras for certain years (last I remember seeing it offered was somewhere in mid/last 90's).
