update: I found a better place to mount the turbochargers. I am not telling at this time but it will be really sweet.

The turbochargers will work for sure where I came up with for them. I do have one issue to work out of routing the forced ari back to the intercooler and then to the intake but it is doable. I also think I will be able to retain the passenger seat. I guess I am a bit concerned about not having a passenger seat in case the state patrol would see the car with no passenger seat and think this is a race car and then do an inspection.

A little later on when I post some more build pictures, I am sure some might comment on whther the turbochargers are going to be effective or not and to answer this, I am sure they will work fine, This being said and even with what I am putting in for an engine, I am not exactly building this for a performance purpose, It is being built more for appearance and if it ends up with good performance besides that is a plus. The other thing I am not big into burning tires and I am not fond of street racing at all but I just preferr to if I decide to step on it and get away from annoying traffic I like to be able to do it.

not telling? tease!
Where do you live, I dont think the cops, around here anyway, would care if it was a racecar, as long as its got a plate, registration, etc. We had our racecar out on the street a while back, when it was still road legal, nobody said anything.

I live in Wisconsin and a handful of our law enforcement officers think that when they get a badge on their chest they are no longer the drunken worthless scum passed out in an alley beside the bar anymore that they are. Please note I said a handful. These handful have drank up everything they could have had and if you have something they dont they get pretty jealous. A case in point, I was driving my 308 GTB in a rural area and this Grant County cop pulled me over claiming I was going in excess of 100 mph and he could only show a reading of 77mph and it was questionable if it was me because there was another car that passed me, but I was one driving the red Ferrari so it had to be me of course. Anything over 70 mph is loss of liscense, and my driving record is perfect and at 42 yrs of age I am not going to change my driving habits. Anyway it got thrown out, Luckily. I am cdl'ed and depend on my liscense.

Here is a pic of my 1980 308 GTB Ferrari. A bit off topic but fits into my last post.

Definate nice Ferrari!

Anything over 70? that's rediculous. My dad's got a CDL, anything over 4 points and he loses his.

I should add, that most of the cops are decent, and some are even really cool.

My 7 month old Male Dalmation injured hisself and had to have stitches and is laid up for the next 10 days, so I will be working on sketching and desiging the body kit and no physical progress on the car probably. I am suppose to keep him calm which is going to be a handful.

Angry

I did some more sketching of the front valance and am getting close to what I want. I have the foam for shaping and then glassing over, hopefully this will be strong enough. The foam is not suppose to melt with fiberglass gel from my understanding. Since I have a hernia myself lightweight work is all I can do for a bit. My dog is really ansy so I am in for a chore trying to keep him quiet. Here is one of his escapades of tearing up my couch and getting into the garbage.. I am left trying to figure out how I am going to bend over senough to clean it up.

Yes, I think he will be fine. I had taken him to play with my sister's dogs and cats and I went to check on him and he had either slid into something or rubbed up against something but he ended up with a 4 inch by 4 inch area about .25 inch deep that he scraped his skin and hair off. Anyway $301.65 later for the first part and probably another $200.00 for the stitch removal and etc, he is will be alot better off then my wallet and car fund. But I guess that is life.

Yeah, some things ultimately are more important than our cars

Nice Ferrari, I had a friend who's father had two grey ones when we were kids. Why anyone would have 2 of the same model and same color I'll never know. But he had those and then his oldest son had a Porsche 928 GT in black. His son was only 18! That's the only Ferrari I've ever been in and I was like 10. Oh well maybe someday.

My story on getting it goes back to 1980 when Magnum PI was on tv the first time around. I was 14-15 yrs old and knew I wanted a car soon as 16 was approaching and fell in love with the 308. At the time, living in rural Wisconsin, I didnt know that Ferrari was pricey and just couldnt figure out why my parents were against me getting one. lol Anyway I ended up waiting until July 6th,1999 on getting one. But better late then never I guess. I love it and it is a fun car and it is fast for 1980 technology. It handles like a dream. It sits most of the time and has 37,000 actual miles. I want a F40 but I am thinking that isnt happening but one never knows.
