What are you trading it in for? Are you putting anything good up for sell?
Not much since my car only had a few mods on it anyways, and not much that isnt going on a freinds car. Boss strut tower brace, Raxiom tail light sequencers, Roush tool kit is probably the only things I will have left over.
I ended up going back to the bowtie, man I missed that pushrod torque!!
Installed the Cobb CAI. Worked fine for a quick trip around the block, hope to give it a better test tomorrow. Turbo BOV sounds like airbrakes on a city bus.
And another rare opportunity to park next to a car cooler than mine: 1968 Morgan, bought new in 68 by a family friend. Usually when I parallel park in a tight spot, I worry about scratching my paint; this time I worried about scratching his.
Cleaned inside the wheels, the outer wheels and put some more Zaino tire shine on.
Next weekend I will give the car a waterless wash topped off with some Zaino Z8 detail spray. (The wheels or tires will not get wet with the waterless wash as I use the one in the spray bottle by Adam's so they will stay clean/dry. Killer product.)
Insulated my CAI air box. The point of the CAI is to keep engine heat away from the intake, so why does Cobb make the heat shield out of aluminum? Aluminum isn't any good at all as a heat insulator; it's the opposite, a heat conductor, which is why aluminum cooking pans work so well. So I grabbed some thin pieces of Styrofoam, cut them to shape, and covered the air box. Doesn't seem to make much difference to the inlet air temp at highway speeds, but in slow city driving, it reads cooler by several degrees.
Pulled the wheels off my 2017 GT so I could do a proper wheel and tire cleaning and tire dressing. took about 35min. per wheel. sure glad I installed a steeda jacking rail makes this job much easier.
Mine got rained on today... Just enough rain to spot and catch all the dust from an Idaho thunder storm. It was not supposed to rain today, but those weather men.
Do you think I need to worry about the car shrinking?
Last night when I got home from work I did a quick wipe down with detailing spray and cleaned all the windows. This morning when I went to leave for work, it looked like I didn't clean it at all. With all of the forest fires out here in Oregon it's a real pain to keep it clean for even a day. Lots of dust and ash in the air and on Kona Blue everything shows up. I still love the color though, even if it is a lot of work to keep up, it's worth it.
