Lol.
Can't help but think he's still on the original oil.
Cuz knowing Tony, there'd be a 22-page thread about his car's first oil change, and how he couldn't trust anybody to do it, blah blah blah.
It's a Mustang, same drain plug and filter as any other 5.0 Ford
Buy the oil and filter off www.amsoil.com and do it yourself!

Tony! Am I assuming correctly that you finally got around to changing your oil? If you did, then congrats brother on a job well done...

Mobil 1 hasn't been a true full synthetic for years. Since they went mass-market, over 10-15 years ago.
They use dino oil base for their "synthetic", not a true full synthetic like Amsoil and several other brands, all much better than Mobil 1.
But hey, 5 years later, Costco olive oil would probably be better than what might've drained out of your poor car's engine.

And really, faster? You'll never drive that thing a 100th as crazy as I've driven mine. Have you had yours up over 130 yet? Didn't think so.
Newer? Sure. But I ordered my '13 when I knew how much softer the new '15+ car was gonna be, with Ford's horrible history for rear diffs in independent-rear-suspension cars. No, I still don't WANT the newer cars.
Looks better? That's in the eye of the beholder. I see a black blob, so whatever.
And I know you mentioned Mobil 1 "full synthetic" and OEM filter above. I still don't believe you had it done.

Oh yeah, I'm jealous of a car that's apparently been poorly maintained for 5 years, other than shining it up every weekend with man juice in the garage.

I can't resist doing SOMETHING to make it my own though. So i think i'll order something special for under the hood ;-)
Not to carjack Tony's thread though. I'll post that elsewhere! I got a kick out of the back and forth here with Tony and Gabe. Two of my oldest TMS buddies from a bygone era, with 2 of my favorite cars
