I'm not dumping $300 worth of oil and filter down the drain with 500 miles on it just because it's been sitting for a year or 2 in a climate garage in the south no less. Only reason I changed mine after a year was because it was the break-in oil and had 600 on it. What's in it now won't be changed for a while, unless I start putting a lot of miles on it.

Thanks Lee. I appreciate it.
Gotta love the Mustang cars.

Thanks man.

Hopefully soon. I have a couple things planned for it as well, if things go the way that I want them to. We'll cross that bridge when I get to that point in a year or less. Hopefully.
Lots of ideas actually. Everything just cost so much money these days, it's out of control.

Lee! What brand of oil and filter are costing you $300.00, or are you paying a Ford dealership to change the oil for you? It costs me no more than $60.00 for 6 quarts of Motorcraft 5w30 synthetic blend and Motorcraft FL-820S oil filter... However, I still continue to change my own oil and filter...

I let the Shelby tech at the dealership do the first one. Motorcraft 5w50 full synthetic,12 quarts and a cartridge $250 , just under 300 labor and taxes total.

Thanks for clarifying, Lee! I didn't realize your "22" GT500 takes 12 quarts of 5w50 full synthetic oil... However, I don't quite understand what a cartridge is, or is that the oil filter? Guess I'm still stuck in the old school technology, being as my "06" GT takes just 6 quarts of motorcraft 5w30 synthetic blend motor oil and motorcraft FL-820S oil filter...LOL.

Yeah, it doesn't have a spin off disposable filter like we used to. It's a canister and you change the filter element cartridge out for a new one.

Tony! When compared to my "06" GT, I also consider your "19" Roush Stage 3 as having one of those big boy engines as well...LOL

Must be real nice to not have any car payments on your "22" GT500, Lee!
