But you have 10,000 hot wheels Mustangs.
2 coats of wax yesterday. Used a Porter Cable buffer to polish it real good. The water just falls off of it, won't even beed up just shoom right off the hood.

The dogs are always making noise, so I'm not that alone while wrenching. But that constant barking and whining sometimes gets into my nerves.

First of all this is using NXT original paste wax, tried 2.0 and didn't like it. As others have said it seemed to leave oily residue behind.
Anyway on a clean car I'll apply a coat of wax with a moistened foam applicator. Then I'll remove with a nice new microfier cloth. Not really puttin any elbow grease into it, just making sure the white stuff is off. Then I'll reapply with the second coat. This time I'll put a terry cloth cover on a pad on the Porter Cable. That way it has the soft backing. The PC has a setting of 1-6. I usually put it on 1.5 or 2 and then work the wax around before it dries completely. Back and forth, up and down, applying a little pressure. This really works the wax around and spreads it out nicely. Then I let that dry a little and remove with another clean terrycloth.
The low setting won't allow you to destroy or burn the finish. It's just acting like a little elbow grease so you don't have to. Plus its a random orbit polisher so no worries about staying to long in one place as long as I keep it moving.
Now I have used a clearcoat compound, polish, wax, carnuba wax system before, but its so very time consuming and extremely expensive. I feel like you have to do all the steps and this seems to work 90% as well.
So you like the paste as opposed to liquid huh ? I'll have to give that a whirl, I have never found any oily reidue @ all or seen it now white may not show as a black surface ? but after the power buff it beads a long time, although I've never double coated it hummm

I have always perefered the paste, but thats just me. As far as the buffer I love how it takes that paste wax and just moves it around over and over and evens it out like I could never do with my hands. And then when you wipe that off its so easy. You just have to barely wipe at all.
