Hey Glenn said it about a Mercedes Terrell picture I posted a while back. I just quoted it in my sig. Next good quote I hear I'm replacing it.

sigh

so i found the vista disk with help from my mom, who filed it away wihout letting me know. startup repair was useless. my only other option was to compltely reinstall vista, which would lose all the stuff i have saved.

FAIL

so the new plan is to wait til winter break (the end of the week) and have my friend kevin help me out. he says he has a way to save all my crap and back it up

this will allow me to A: start over in vista and just bring my files back

B: do part A but set it up for dual boot, so i can do all my normal computing in ubuntu and not have to deal with vista problems, but still HAVE vista for programs that wil need a windows OS (like games, photoshop and whatever school related software i end up having to use)

still not sure if im just going to re-use vista, or use ubuntu. im rather fond of the way windows works, because im used to it and i understand it. but on the other hand im tired of all the STUPID problems vista has given me from the beginning. ubuntu wont have crappy windows related problems, and it will offer some better security than whatever free antivirus crap came with my computer

grrrrr

arin i frustrated and will be on alot less during the rest of the week thanks to a lack of his own computer.

I was with my mom, and the roads were really bad earlier in the day so I didn't want to chance it. Plus my sister even did a 180 at a stop sign this morning in her chevy.

It depends. There was still snow and ice on the roads today and my sister's chevy doesn't have anti-lock brakes. It's not that bad as long as you take it easy and know what you're doing. It can be fun sometimes.
