I've noticed through the years that a lot of elderly people down here like liver and onions. Even see it on lunch menu specials at meat and 3 restaurants where old people tend to eat. Makes me want to puke even thinking about it.

Yes it is a common meal where I live. Never been a big fan of it. My mom used to make it growing up.

Not just chopped but I swore off all liver after finding a bone while in the military. The explanation was that the military didn't consider the liver an organ as much as just a general area in a cow.

Happy Belated Birthday Gary
I'm not a fan of Liver and onions, since my mother used to make me eat it growing up, but I did eat quite a bit of Fried Liver mash when I was living in North Carolina. Almost every restaurant had it on their menu, and it was good most of the time.

Don't care for it fried, but you can cook it down into a gravy that's outstanding, I see it often marketed in this area as "Liver Pudding"

Dear God that sounds even more disgusting.

I don't eat any kind of organs. My friends used to get fried chicken livers and eat them when we were drinking. Made me sick at my stomach just watching them eat them.

^^ Still cracks me up too. I'm still 14 at heart I guess.

I'm gonna be screwed when these little Halo's oranges go out of season. I got hooked on them a few months ago and now they're my go to snack, eat them every day.

I hope I'm still 14 at heart when I get to be your age old man!

I miss those Halos when they go out of season too. I think the season is through April? I have one to snack on this afternoon too.

Yeah, April from what I read. I rarely ate citrus fruit for many years, but since I got hooked on these a few months ago I eat them every day. I've had 3 today.

Sometimes they are sweeter than others. But then again, sometimes I am too so it's ok

I was planning to have it for breakfast but I had a banana instead. Technically it was in a muffin......but it still had banana in it!

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of variance in different bags of them, have eaten so many lately that I can spot the good ones by the way they look now. Had some that were a little bigger and the skin was kind of a rough texture on the ends. They weren't very good. Not as sweet, kind of dry and kind of tough.

The best ones seem to be really small, smooth skin and kind of squishy when you squeeze it. I look through all the bags of them at the store to find the ones like that. Last two bags I got were so sweet and juicy it was unreal.

LOL@ banana justification.
