All depends on where the prison is, but for us it's just the basic military paycheck. nothing fantastic. private contractors when they're used make 6 figures usually.

They've already said he won't be since he is a US citizen.

There are so many procedures and safeguards to prevent this type of thing but **** happens anyways. It was a fire that broke out obviously. It happens. I've watched a lot of footage of plant explosions and investigations. Crazy how some of these things happen. In really curious to hear if any survivors in that plant can explain what happened.

The pay sure does suck for the lower ranks. Hopefully this month or next, my son should get another stripe for SPC (E-4). That should bring him almost $200/mo more in his pay.

They also tell us they didn't pick anybody up in Boston the other day. They just say that so nobody will ask where they've gone!

and he also became a citizen on 9/11/12 intentionally in spite.

I was amazed by the magnitude of the explosion and that there were so few fatalities...kind of amazing.

How's he doing???

I'm trying to make E-4 before I leave. it would make a huge difference over the length of the deployment.

If the stats on this guy are true, a strong wind should take this guy out. 6 foot and 130lbs a 6 foot punk only weighing 130lbs that's like a 6th grader.

All of our buildings are blast proof to a certain extent. We're trained get to safety if possible. The ones killed were probably the ones outside trying to fight what was happening.

He's doing well. He was supposed to deploy to Afghanistan in July, but they cancelled his deployment. He's pissed about it, he wanted to go. He is on standby for the month of June, if anything happens in Korea, they will be the first over there. But for now, he said they aren't doing much training or anything because the Army is so broke One of his buddies from home is leaving in the next few weeks to head over there. He is (15T I think it is) a door gunner on a Blackhawk.

Im surprised he can shot a gun without breaking his wrists. 6ft tall and only 130lbs, those numbers are definitely wrong.

I know how he feels. I'm hoping they don't cancel mine, but the Army keeps jerking units around, telling them they're going then they aren't over and over.

That's why I'm afraid to make plans to go visit him in September. I'm afraid I will make all of these arrangements and he won't be there. HI isn't a hop, skip and a jump from the east coast and not something you want to just cancel at the drop of a hat...

Quittin' time..........later peeps!
