True....we did have one come loose off a truck here in town one day a few months back....but we could still get through the piggly wiggly parking lot to get around it....so it's not completely boring here

Yeah, I don't need textbooks(probably should be writing a few considering what they sell for!)

 

One of mine this year is $250 new from school. It's more than $100 cheaper on amazon.

 

Not different than when I was in college except we didn't have the luxury of the internet offering it cheaper(I know, I just dated myself ). I always looked for used books but we had a choice to buy them at the college bookstore....or the college bookstore.

 

You can rent them now also but sometimes its more cost effective to sell them afterwards. I hate the classes though that make you buy the mega-expensive books and then tell you that its not required reading. They just have to assign a book.

 

That would be just cause for me to throw said book at professors head for not telling me up front!

Same here....my computer class was the completely useless Cobol! Al Gore hadn't invented the internet yet

So without the internet and facebook all we had to do was Drink and pursue women....there was nothing else to do. Ah, the good ole days!
