Ya, wouldn't want to be out on the roads tonight.

Got everything done on the GT. Started right up and sounds great. No more ticking sound.

Bill Gates sucks donkey bawls. So does staples. And hp at this point although this is the first problem I have ever had with a cpu from them since 94 so I can't whine too loud at them. At least they are way faster than dell junk. Finally killed my old dell last year with a .45 so it wouldn't waste any more of my life. This latest hp is gettin close.

Griped about problems right out of the box 13 mos ago and staples was useless for service. Blue screen/random crashes/circular reboots. Might as well have bought at the W where I know I wouldn't get service. Thought it was a W7 problem but the hard drive is now on a slow wreck (S.M.A.R.T error 303) but I got all of my latest data backed up in time.

So now I'm on my ancient hp from 07 that will no longer do windows update thanx to billy's crapola! Error b100xxxxxx How is it that it won't even accept an update direct from ms???

Strange, I've never had any problems with my HP or any version of Windows.

Hey Charlie,

I started reading this book earlier today, and I was hooked by the second page. By the 4th page I was chuckling out loud. I'm only on the second chapter but you'd probably like it.

Me either as far as hp. I have literally wasted a few years of my life with ms crap though with its constant headaches. The old 3.1 was a tank. So was xp. Didn't have a lot of trouble with vista until this update problem - google it and I'm not alone.

As far as 7, stupidgenious alleged I was doing something wrong because of blue screen reboots with the new one. I may not be a techie geek but been using these things since 87/dos and have been around the block more than a few times as far as a user and learning basic repairs. All I do is surf, investment research, my webpage, xl spreadsheets & word. No games or crap like that.

This one was clearly defective out of the box - and staples wouldn't get into it even though they claim to stand behind what they sell. Like I said, might as well have bought from W and saved $50.

I'll have to check it out. Saved to wish list.

Gotta sign off for now... Don't like being on too long on this comp.

The "Best Before" date on beef jerky is just like speed limits, just a suggestion, right?

Saturated ground from days of rain followed by wind...

Wind.
Same here....surprised to hear the creaking of the house...wasn't expecting it...

Odd. One drawback to moving back to HI, traffic can suck. I plan on living where I will have to deal with it going to work everyday too. Oh well, the weather is nice and I can always ride the bike!
