Tires on the 500 have gone to ****. Never have had good luck with a freaking Goodyear tire. Just rolled over 5K yesterday and they have turned into hockey pucks. It was 70 degrees yesterday, and I know that it makes a lot more power in those cool dry conditions, and the tires have less grip when its cool, but *******, not like this.
I got it in March, temps were even cooler, and it would hold 2nd gear all the way to redline. Yesterday, I could smoke the tires at will in 2nd. They still bite hard when you drive it off into a corner, but they just can't hold the torque.
Stand on it in 2nd gear and it would pull like a freight train until it hit about 4500 rpm, then it would come unglued and get sideways at about 50-60 mph and bounce off the rev limiter.
May have to put drag radials on the rear when they wear out.

A whopping 12 degrees out right now. And to think two nights ago it was 61.

It is a bad thing!! This thing will scare the **** out of you the way it is right now. If someone that didn't have experience driving a car sideways at high speeds were to get in it, they would have it wrapped around a tree pretty quickly.
Its a handful lately on these tires, but I have to admit it is fun.

sideways would be fun in the right areas, noplace with other cars (they'll flip out like some coworkers of mine did a few years ago when I slid my car hella sideways coming out of work), no telephone poles, ditches, or raised curbs.
I'd like to get Sophia out on a skid pad so I can really play around and see what she'll do.
