Dammit. I've got to start getting my mind around the fact that in the very near future I'm going to have to have a knee replaced. Its just getting worse and worse. Driving the 500 the other day and decided to get on it a little. Ran it up in 1st at about 3/4 throttle, eased it into 2nd and stood on it.
About 6200 I tried to do my best Ronnie Sox shifting impression into 3rd and my knee felt like someone drove an ice pick through it with a sledge hammer.

Its been coming for a long time, just gotten worse and worse over the last 15 years. Walking up or down stairs, or squatting down you can hear both of them 20 feet away, sounds like gravel going through a rock crusher. Makes people sick at their stomach to put their hand on one of them while I bend it and you can feel the bones and **** grinding togther.

Always bugs me when people change their names. If I sold the notch (though we all know that's never going to happen
), I wouldn't change my username. ![Stickpoke](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/stickpoke.gif)

My uncle had to have both knees replaced a couple of years back, he had been walking on them (if that makes sense) so long that he wore down the carteledge (sp?) And started grinding the bones down. My uncle never did it because he would loose his position that he had at the state department and be assigned to something else but now that he did it, he feels 200x better and says he should have done it earlier.
On a side note, i like to do that with my left knee, on a really humid day it kills me and when I move my knee you can feel it creaking lol. It probably doesnt help that i crack my knee caps every now and then lol.
Mine don't make grinding sounds but the right one will make a pop when I squat down loud enough to hear in another room. But it doesn't hurt any. The left one is pretty jacked up. I'll need surgery on it soon but my job requires a lot of climbing so that means time off of work. Hope it lasts a few more years before it has to be fixed.
Hahaha mine too lol ... Sometimes i squat down to pet my cat and it will pop and scare the **** out of him lol. For me I had one bone growing faster then the other so it pushed part of my knee cap up and it used to hurt like hell when i was younger but i guess the other bone grew into place and moved the knee cap back into position because it almost never hurts anymore.
