My dad took that "City of New Orleans" a few times from StL to NOLA when I had a sales meeting there. We had a great time. I show up at the hotel trying to find him in the lobby, and look over to the bar and here's this old white haired guy with a small crowd around him layin down the boosheet. lol Cracked me up! Always said he could talk the ear off a wooden Indian. Never knew a stranger.

Out here its the "Coast Starlight" and not only does the bar close (at like 11!) but then it always runs so late the staff runs out of hours before you get to a station. So they have to pull to a siding and wait for a fresh crew to be driven to the train so it can proceed. No bar no food... "hell of a way to run a railroad!" is right.

Me too. I'm usually pretty quiet, I'll speak to people and make a little small talk but I'm ready to move on pretty quickly. Now get a few drinks in me and I talk to everybody, and talk all night long. Unfortunately I also tend to get generous the more I drink, start buying everybody's drinks, food, whatever, and leaving big tips.

Ya, I was expecting at least five or six pages. You people are pathetic. 
Went back to the show tonight with my uncle. Saw a ton of sweet cars. Then I drove around for a bit after but it died down and there were more cops around than cars so I came home. Was gonna go back tomorrow with my dad and brother but they won their baseball game today so they have to play again tomorrow. Looks like I'll be going by myself unless I can get my sister to go.
