I have a 4wd so I dont know. Nathan would be the authority on that since he lives in Canada.

I will say this, auto is much easier and I rarely even use the 4wd in the snow. Alot more fun in 2wd . That being said, I dont have much trouble riding around in 2wd in the truck.

Ive driven my 99 in the snow a couple times. With it being a manual, a hard clutch and summer tires, it wasnt the best experience of my life. But then again, it wasnt terrible.

Let me put it to you this way .... Remember 23 on your way up to Oneonta? I drove up that in a blizzard before it was even plowed, probably had about 5 inches of snow on the ground. The rear end got loose 2 times and spun out twice. As long as you know what you are doing and you can react in time and not over react you will be ok with traction control and some sandbags in the back. My two crown vics were terrible in the snow, if you looked even looked at the snow as it was hitting the windshield they would spin out, Buddy on the other hand has been a champ in the snow.

Go in a parking lot though turn off the traction control and you will have some hooligan fun

All about how you drive it. Ive spun out in the rain a couple time ****ing around. No big deal. If you keep traction you wont have a problem.

Everybody should own a RWD vehicle of some sort. Think of it as a learning experience.

The way I see it is for a better part of 50 years people drove RWD cars through the snow with no electronic aids what so ever. Now that we do have traction control and advance track and butt warmers we shouldn't ***** so much about it .... But it is nice to be able to put it in AWD and plow up a hill like its nothing
