Our pups are not my kids, already have two girls. They can treat the pups like kids, take care of them, clean up after them, etc.

Me too! Yesterday was so great. 
I got all kinds of stuff done. Heavier stuff. Had plenty of energy, but ran out of daylight. Amazing what getting good night's sleep does! (3 nights in a row now...)
Even dusted off the old 35mm with new batteries and film. (And remembered why I HATE Fuji film - their rolls don't allow the film to reel off freely at initial winding so you lose like 3 pics every time! Morons!
)
Set everything to manual - haven't shot that way since the old Pentax. Took notes so we'll see how they turn out.
