Only have one more year to claim only one of the kids. She will be 21 in October but since she is a full time student and we are paying for her college, we claim her as a dependent. She doesn't like it because she gets less money back, but my husband told her if she wants to claim herself she can pay for her college, lol?

Have fun. And make sure you go to Fremont Street one night!
I hope you both aren't claiming him!
She's getting all of her college paid in full and won't have any student loans when she graduates, so no way we are giving up the tax deduction.

Hopefully I can pay for college for the girls. They are already splitting my GI Bill so hopefully the mutal fund we have for school for them does well!

I wasn't sure if the cutoff was turned 16 during the tax year or turned 17.

Guess it's a good thing my girls have birthdays early in the year then? Won't be mad they were under the age half the year and got screwed out of the child credit?

Luckily, our community college has a really good nursing program. She is a CNA/GNA now and makes really good money for someone her age. I'm sure she will do much better when she is an RN. I'm just glad she won't have any loans to pay back.
