I don't mind the plate opening and black plastic. I think they did it to breakup the huge expanse of painted plastic that is the rear bumper.
I want the track pack or the ability to buy and install them myself. And I'd probably replace the wheels anyway. I know what the engineers said but I'd still rather have some wider meat back there.
No idea what I'm gonna do. Can't even decide on color. There's a thread on Svtperformance and a majority are choosing the DIB. I don't like having a car color everyone else has. But if it really does look that good then I'd have to go for it.

How far do you plan in dropping it? I wouldn't drop it more than an inch so I don't think it would do any damage.
Of course I'm sure there are others out there who would do the same. I'd probably wait a while and let others do it first and see what is the best solution.

He's doing pretty well so far, thanks for asking! I wish I got to talk to him more, but with the 6 hour time difference it's hard. He's still not settled yet, they still have him temporary barracks. Hoping he gets permanent barracks soon so we can get his personal items shipped and he can set up wi-fi so we can skype or facetime. But from what I understand it's the Army way......hurry up and wait! They are supposed to go to the big island for about 45 days to train and also to Japan to do some training. From what I understand they are supposed to go to Afghanistan in summer or fall of 2013. Who knows though, with everything going on there now I'm hoping it doesn't happen. They have him as a saw gunner. As awesome as the weapon is, I'd prefer he not be the first one out laying ground fire
