Actually knew her brother first, never realized the 3 of them were related for a while. Just always been that kind of relationship though, love her like a sister.

Did a couple day cruises to Freeport with my Mom when we were living in SoFla, good time, even though I was young

I did some touchups on the Bronco back when. I would let it dry and then wet sand it in between coats. It came out real smooth. And I used a primer under it. Not sure if he wants to go to all that trouble.

It was some large areas.

Our plan of attack is to spray 3 coats of black, then sand with 1200 grit, then use a polishing compound on it. Skipping out on the clear coat because he wants it matte.

If it works out, my truck will be getting repainted over summer, but in a gloss blue/black 2 tone

I'd love to redo the Bronco in a satin white.

Paint the color coats and then hit it with clear but don't buff it smooth. I think it would look sick.

The only problem on the clear is that it goes on splotchy and just looks like absolute ****. I'm gonna try it anyway tomorrow to see if maybe he just doesn't have the experience with it, or if it's just that hard.

Being the mud ****, we're just trying to make it look nice, but doesn't have to be perfect. My truck I'm gonna be as **** as possible on, while still being cheap at it.

I'll make sure to get pix up on here for you guys to look at our handy work. Maybe motivate you on the Bronco

Mine is still looking pretty decent, but I don't want to let the rust go any longer or else I'll have some issues. Just wish I could find this color to DIY, and not have a shop do it for a couple more years

I would NOT do the clear for a couple of reasons Sean.

The stuff you buy off the shelf at an auto parts store will not work. No matter what they say. I used it on a few Bronco pieces and they yellowed in a very short time and ate still yellowing to this day. This is a problem with rattle can clears. The formula to put it in a can causes this. It should be a catalyzed clear coat and that's not possible in an off the shelf clear. Do not waste your time.

I spent the money and had Ketone mix up a catalyzed clear coat. It had a button on the bottom of the can you would push and that would release the hardener into the can and I would mix it and spray it. The stuff was $30 a can and it worked. But that's $30 a can. Not something you wanna do a whole truck in.

That's extremely good to know! I'll skip out on the clear and pass it along to Nic too. Sounds like I'll skip it on mine too. Thanks Gary!

They should have mustangs for advertising cars. That way you could put labels on them for food, weather and beer adds(sex)

Or you could take a different approach and just start drinking harder!
