Its 88 here and just OMG hot with the humidity and all. My herbs are all dyeing, but my corn and squash are coming up good.

I would love that! I'm really ready to move south, but he just won't do it And I told my son that he's lucky he doesn't leave for basic until October, that the weather will be much nicer for him.

Yeah, he got lucky there. It'll still be hot in October, but not like middle of summer. That section of the state all the way across to the coast side is literally the taint of the South. Flat as a pancake, bugs swarming like a plague from the Bible, suffocating heat and humidity, and nothing for miles around you but tens of thousands of acres of cotton, soy beans, etc. and prisons. Honestly, you couldn't pay me enough to live down there.

he will be there until mid to end of January. He will do what they call OSUT (one station unit training) where they do all of their training in one long stretch instead of 8 or 9 weeks of basic and then going somewhere for their individualized training, infantry does it all in one long session. They say they will get to come home for two weeks at Xmas though.

Mr. Jill wants me to take him to MN to a Vikings game this year. It's on his bucket list!

Hmmmm, is he afraid you may be trying to knock him off sometime soon? What kind of insurance policy does he have?

I'll admit, I never gradeated from the class of "yes Dear". Fact I missed the whole dang school!

But I was wise enough to stay out of that interchange.

I don't play that game either. Just ask me nicely, that's all I ask. He tells me all the time how lucky he is. His coworkers yap all the time about stuff that goes on with their wives, he just laughs at them.
