A bath? How dirty can you get sucking a titty and sleeping all day?

I was at a Verizon Kiosk today playing with the Droid X for a little while. Lots of options, responds as fast as my overclocked Droid. Benchmarks at half the speed on one benchmarking app. Should be close to mine. Another benchmark it starts of slower than mine but exceeds mine when it hits the graphics. Market and some other apps loaded up much faster. Over 6 gig internal storage where the Droid only gets about 255 meg. Lots of room for apps! Screen looked nice, especially on google maps. Flash on the camera had a "light" option. That was wicked bright. Phone was a lot lighter in weight too.

My only complaint was the volume of the speaker. The original Droid is MUCH louder. Hard to get a good comparison since the store was loud.

Decisions, decisions.

Sounds nice.

What are you gonna do if the rumored 2ghz one comes out later on this year?

I think the 2 gig is just a rumor. If it does happen, i'll have to wait and see. You can only do so much on a phone. Doing what it does now, you may not notice a big speed difference. It's not like you're trying to run complex formulas in Excel that will improve on a faster processor. But then again, as Android gets improved, and probably bloated, you may need that extra speed.

I like buying on 1 year plans, so if I have the urge to upgrade, I can do so in 10 months. So i'm not too worried there. Yet.

ABS light came on while driving the GT tonight. Owner's manual said if the light stays on after starting it up that the ABS is deactivated and to have it serviced immediately.

So far my only disapointment is the battery life. It was sold & reviewed as having a superior battery to most other smartphones. I think it's issue is the large screen, that thakes a ton of power to run.

I unpluged it fromt he charger at 6AM and right now I have less than 50% battery remaining. This is with 4 phone calls less then 5 min each, a series of texts, some browsing & video watching. The use monitor says that 57% of its use today was just to power the screen. So if a larger battery is offered I will be first in line.

I can't believe how much faster it is over the BB Storm. It really is a superior phone.

Make sure you keep the GPS off and the screen on the dimmest setting. That should help.

Wow, that's excellent battery life! I can be dead in about 8 hours or less with less usage than that!

I can unplug it now and just let it sit there all night with no usage and in 12 hours it will be dead, and that is underclocking it to 250 mhz (stock is 550) to save power.

I just keep mine plugged in whenever I'm at home. I've only ever had issues with battery life when I'd be at school all day and be using the browser for hours at a time. Taking lots of video also takes a hit.

Keeping the GPS off is an old wives tale. It's only on if you are running an app that uses it.

Really? Only reason I would want to keep it on is for the beautiful widget temp. But I guess that counts as a running app.

When the GPS is on the icon in the status bar is on. If there is no icon, the GPS is off. Beautiful pulls your temp from network location unless you tell it otherwise to use the GPS in the settings.
