They only made 161 of them, and 4 of them ended up within 15 miles of my house out here in the middle of nowhere. I knew 2 of the people that had them.

Yeah, I've been watching it. It got up to about that price a few weeks ago and didn't meet reserve, and he relisted it. The odd thing about it is, that's only a few miles from where that 25 mile Cobra R you posted was. Its always amazed me at the amount of odd/rare Mustangs that turn up in this region. Remember the 89 Saleen SSC?

I SOOOOO want one of those if I can't buy me a new one in a couple of years. It's so full of win.
Good for him. They are being shipped by crazy this past week, but they're still a long ways to go.
Wheels $900x4=$3,600.00
Tires $350x4=$1,400.00
Bumper cover painted=$1,300
Rear diffuser=$200-300
Total $6,500 minimum.
The car with the mileage is about a $45k (full dealer retail) car without damage, just normal wear.
So I'd have to get it for $39-40k to even consider it and that's just settling anyway. So while they are asking $44,995 (at least that's what the internet says) the dealer can't reasonably expect to get more than $40k out of it. But some yahoo will no doubt buy it and that's his problem. Plus I have firsthand knowledge that these guys drive the crap out of these cars every year. They just don't care.
Notice the only close up of a wheel is the one wheel where the curb rash doesn't show up on camera.
