Again, both of mine fit me perfectly.
Tom may not mod his fox, but I would assume he'd know. Didn't he get a tranny cooler for his mach?

I was trying trying to get by with getting a radiator with no tranny oil cooler in it. Basically the manual transmission radiator. And then I would use an external tranny oil cooler instead. The biggest one I could get. I would also get an external filter. I hear that helps clean the 'varnishing' out of the fluid.
So my question is, can I get by with getting a radiator with no provision for the tranny oil, and make up for it by getting a big external (separate) cooler that I might even add an electric fan to.

Yes you can get a radiator without a tranny cooler and get by. Running a seperate tranny cooler with an external filter is a good idea. You will then be able to place it wherever you would like or place it where it will get the most wind. The varnishing of the oil is when the oil gets too hot and old I believe. The external filter will help get the shavings and other debri not so much the varnishing. Just have to remember to keep the extra lines away form the exhaust or it will do no good.
I hope this answers it a lil better.

I'm getting a 130 amp alternator for stereo reasons and as a result I also want to do away with the stock fan and fan clutch and get either a large thermostatically controlled single or double electric fan for the radiator too.

That's all the power I'm looking for for this car. Between that setup, the LT headers with off-road h pipe, underdrive pulleys, BBK fender CAI, C&L 73mm MAF housing, and a 70mm throttle body and I'm good to go.

Plus having the x-pipe in the 2007 (I know a completely different engine and exhaust setup) I like the h-pipe sound a little better from what I have been able to hear over the years in person. I can always change it later I guess.
