There's a huge fire going on an oil refinery on the local area. I felt the explosion when I was lying in bed, it started to shake and the door rumbled loudly, so I quickly got up and dressed. I'l try to post the link of the video. It's a Gulf owned refinery. There are two theories, one is thar a feed line bursted due to pressure buildup, the other is that an airplane crashed on one of the storage tanks. This happened close to 1:00am.
Stay safe man, and remember: Fire is pretty, from a distance!

Scary!!! Listen to Scott. Stay as far away as you possibly can!
I remember seeing that on TV. Insane.
Eduardo, when I said be worried about BLEVE's, I mean it. Depending on how far away you are, id be concerned. especially if they cant keep teh rest of the tanks good and cool and fire away from them.

I left my windows down today at work...it rained a freakin lot! ugh...strangely the only thing not covered was my seat, haha. In other news, a nice coating of rain x + new windshield wipers = no water on the windshield...and no needing to use the wipers at speeds over 30 mph

Experiment #1 - Remove tailgate for better mpgs?
As you guys could have guessed, my gas mileage ain't too hot. On the 2 tanks I've monitored, of the 3 I've had in the truck so far, I've averaged ~17mpg for the first, and ~16 for the second. I decided I'd try out removing my tailgate, which to my eye is an obvious amount of drag added to the truck. Just driving around the neihborhood, I can feel the ~50 pounds I took off the back. It's got just a tad more pep, nothing to write home about, but it's there. I'll keep everyone updated on my findings

I got more parts today.
The wheels were here when I got home from work. Along with two other boxes and a big box. I've been eating and doing stuff so I haven't checked them out yet. The wheels are banded together in pairs face to face with the tires on them. I'm assuming my replacement bumper is in the box.
Plus the new motors came for teh pink Mustang.
And we are going on a trip tomorrow so I won't be able to install any of this stuff this weekend.

Sea World.
Those tickets we had back in the spring were two day tickets and this weekend is the last weekend to use the second day. Plus its like a halloween thing going on there. I don't freakin care. But I get to go to that car show in San Antonio on Sunday that the guy with the awesome Barricade clone is going to be at.

Mythbusters proved you get worse gas mileage with the tailgate down or removed
