Besides our usual Christmas shopping at the outlets, we always enjoy the drive through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on the way over. Many elk and turkeys were seen on the NC side. We also wanted to walk the new Pigeon Forge Winterfest at night. It was probably about 3 miles total along the river. Very cold but a lot of fun. The following morning we ate at this Flapjack House.in Sevierville. We were amazed at the quality and nice atmosphere here (fireplace inside too). So many 'dives' and tourist traps are in this area so we were reluctant to try. We really can recommend this restaurant whenever you visit the area. It's about 1 mile north of the Tanger Outlet Mall right next to a Clarion motel.
I wish I took a photo of the Mustang after our night's stay as it was totally 'white' with frost. Oh well, a few photos in the park and in Tennessee. I wrote a little bit under each photo..
