And don’t forget that infamous Additional Dealer Markup. I am sure those entry prices will have $20k added to them. Quite a bit out of my range...

I really hope that the volumes for the 5.2l engine between the GT350 and GT500 justify an automated assembly process instead of hand building. This would help with the quality of the build a lot.

I wonder if the new GT500 cars are going to have the same engine issues as the GT350/GT350R cars?
Lots of people with replacement engines on the S500 Mustang forum. I believe it's the same engine, only supercharged and not a flat plane crank??

I think you are pretty much right on that one Tony. Sounds like a lot of the early builds were iffy, but heard they had the issues pretty well cooked out in the 18+. Heard anything different?

Be nice if they offered a slightly lower HP version of that in the GT. Just to justify the development and automated build process...

There are 70 different parts between the engines. My buddy who recently toured the plant which builds Voodoo and Predator engines told me.
Hopefully some of those parts help improve the reliability. I like your idea to offer a detuned version in GT variant!

Interesting you say that, I have seen more than one GT350 sitting in my dealers service lot...for months on end, awaiting a new engine.

Yeah, there are a lot of those guys on the other Mustang forum.
It's a shame.

So,...what happens then?? You still make monthly payments??
I would tell Ford, I'm not making any payments till I have my car back and in working order. Imagine making payments on a car that sits in the dealership's workshop floor/lot???

True, and 3 years after the original car launched I would hope for better. Let's hope Ford figures out how to make the Voodoo last, and the Terminator as well. I want a Voodoo in 2 years. And by then I really hope Ford figures out what's been going wrong.

The problem there is if you financed through a regular bank, they expect payment no matter where the car is sitting.

the engines share a common block. The 500 engine is a cross plane supercharged engine with a 7500 RPM redline. Vibration issues the 350 has will not be a problem for the 500.

Wow you are right... Some spoiled rich kid and a car that is so over his head. Wonder how long it will be until it is destroyed? Really would love to have one. Maybe in about 10 years I can pick up one used.

So here are some interesting track videos. Checkout the GT500 and GT350. Very cool cars. Love to have any of them.
