Super excited for the new 2020 Shelby GT500. It's apparently going to have around 720 horsepower, 650 ft lbs of torque, and max engine speed of 7500 RPM. However, due to curb weight, the max speed may be under 200 mph.

I was hoping it would be released in 2019, but it's starting to seem Ford will be releasing in 2020 instead. What do you guys think?

 

Been hanging on for the release announcement a few years now... Starting to feel like an endless tease. Hope it lives up to the hype.

I've been reading the GT500 'might' weigh around 4400 lbs. Too much for me. That is as much as a fat *** Challenger

I was thinking the same thing, and I do not even care that it is an automatic any more. It's just a beast. Now all I need is to find an extra $100k.

 

Ordered one a month ago - should be in in March, also ordered a C8 but that won't be in until late July 2020 - Chevrolet is ridiculous on this

 

ha, that was a great episode! He was talking prices around 71k and up. I believe it's north of 100k in reality (up here in Canada it will be for sure)
