Roush Reveals Horsepower for Stage3 Mustang
Following earlier speculation that the horsepower for the new Roush Stage3 Mustang would come in somewhere around 630 horsepower, we’re now learning the official number is actually much higher.

I think that is more horsepower than the new Shelby GT. I think the Shelby GT looks a little better. Even though the Shelby GT has less power, I would choose the Shelby GT over the Roush because I like front end better.

Serial #1 Roush Stage 3 670 HP car to be unveiled at Ray Skillman Ford on June 6.
(Still trying to like this '15 body style. I do like the '15 GT350 and the '15 Saleen models though. Those look best in my opinion as far as '15 Mustangs go.)

There is only so many ponys to be had out of these engines in the stock block. You can put a blower or turbo, tunes and so on but to make it last this is about the most you are going to get unless you use a beefier block.

I'm sure the block and internals can handle it as it will have the Roush tune, (obviously), and it is warrantied for the 3 year/36,000 miles. Roush tunes are on the conservative side. They wouldn't let a car like this go to the public if it were going to ruin the Roush name or lose money because they are repairing all the Stage 3's that come back to the certain Roush certified shops to be repaired. I'm positive that A LOT of R&D went into this stuff.
That's just my take.

I'm curious about the Phase 2 and Phase 3 packages. I'm pretty sure the Phase 2 will bring you over 700 HP and close to 600 lbs. TQ.
***Also, I am told that the heads are more free flowing as well. Half shafts have been upgraded as well.

Not really interested in the Active Exhaust System, As I would just leave it on track all day every day. But here's a sample.

I will just have to check out the new Roush mustangs. I just saw a 427R mustang at a car show and was blown away at how great it looked. Some say the Roush mustangs are just a GT with the Roush name on them. From what I saw at the car show, Roush really does upgrade the Mustang and make it look more special and racy.

I think Phase 2 RS3's should be available in the Fall this year. Looking forward to their HP and TQ numbers. I know the power will be above 700 HP for the Phase 2, not sure about the TQ.
Kyle over at Roush thinks that much more than 700 crank power to these engines is hurtful, but hasn't really gotten into it yet. So, maybe a Phase 3 RS3 may have a bit of a built engine? I'll be following.
Because they did do the dyno on the Track Pac car they were messing around with and got 750 RWHP, which is disgustingly nasty. All on 93 octane too.

So,.....from what I hear/am told, the Phase 2 HP rating for the new RS3 cars will be between 725/750. Not sure on what the TQ numbers will be.
(I'm guessing close to 600 lbs. of TQ.)
